The Secretaries Bargaining unit is scheduled to meet with the board for two meetings in January. Our last meeting involved an exchange and review of expanded proposals. Not surpisingly, the Board has proffered a low salary increase that is unacceptable. Our goal is to achieve competitve wages that reflect the high standard of service provided by our members as well as professional developnment opportunities aligned to the current job requirements.

The Paraprofessionals Bargaining unit is scheduled for two sessions; one on January 23 and the other on February 5. Our objective is to secure salaries reflecting the highly qualified status of the unit as well as increased compensation for coverages and other duties.

The Teachers team will meet January 18 to review the salary scatter gram and to develop a survey on your needs and aspirations. We hope that the Board will be ready to negotiate with our Teachers unit in a few weeks.
